QUEENSRYCHE FRONTMAN GEOFF TATE TO PAY HOMAGE TO MUSIC
LEGENDS WITH FIVE PERFORMANCES OVER THREE CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS
AT THE TRIPLE DOOR IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON BEGINNING THURSDAY, MAY 1ST
“ROCK AND VAUDEVILLE FEATURING GEOFF TATE” TO COVER SONGS
OF POPULAR ARTISTS FROM THE LAST SIX DECADES INCLUDING
ELVIS, THE BEATLES, ROLLING STONES, JIMI HENDRIX, QUEEN, AC/DC AND OTHERS
Beginning Thursday, May 1, GEOFF TATE — best known as the lead vocalist of the multi-platinum band Queensryche — will be coming to The Triple Door in Seattle, Washington to perform what he describes as “the history of Rock done Vaudeville style.”
“ROCK AND VAUDEVILLE FEATURING GEOFF TATE” will span five performances over three consecutive nights at the venue, covering music from all previous decades in succession beginning with the 1950’s.
The show is expected to begin with music from the likes of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bill Haley & His Comets and end with recently released hits from the 21st century.
What lies within will be some of the greatest hits over the past 50 years by artists such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Kinks, Sly and the Family Stone, Alice Cooper, Prince and others along with a medley of “Seattle sound” Grunge.
Inspired by those artists that came before him, GEOFF TATE comments, “Anyone alive today has been witness to the evolution of rock music. It’s the language of our rebellious side. The soundtrack of freedom. This show is a visual and musical journey through that fun and yet spiritual side of ourselves. Prepare to rock.”
Similar to the wild and successful Queensryche Cabaret tour in 2010, the three night stand at The Triple Door will also feature aerialists, burlesque dancers, Go-Go dancers and various circus performers.
Tickets prices for the Friday and Saturday shows are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and $35 for VIP seating in the front two rows. The Thursday show is $5 less for all three options.
Geoff and his Queensryche band mates just wrapped up a short, successful trek that encompassed nine dates in the southern region of the U.S. and look forward to hitting the road once again in March.
The recent January dates celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the epic concept album, Operation: Mindcrime, that was performed from beginning to end in its entirety.
